A recent study claims 18% of the honey available in Australia has been adulterated through the addition of syrups.
The top three adulterated foods worldwide are olive oil, milk and honey.
These three foods are spiritually significant. Honey is symbolic for enlightenment (1 Samuel 14:27), olive oil represents the Holy Spirit and faith (Matthew 25:1-13), and milk the foundations of truth (1 Peter 2:2).
The physical and spiritual realms are not mutually exclusive.
The adulteration of honey, olive oil and milk therefore mirrors our compromised spiritual state.
Adulteration is symptomatic of a compromised heart. True reformation can only occur when one’s heart is fully committed.
