In the middle of November 2018 it came to our attention that Mars was traversing the loin region of Aquarius. At the same time we were also made aware of the daily rituals performed by tourists at the Charging Bull statue in New York.
This article looks at the connection between these two events in relation to the account given in Genesis 24:9.
Genesis 24:9
And the servant put his hand under the thigh (ירך) of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.
(Genesis 24:9)
To swear an oath is to give a solemn promise with regards to one’s future behaviour, usually invoking a sacred witness. Today, people generally hold a Bible in their hand when taking an oath, thereby indicating the sacred witness.
However, in Genesis 24:9 we observe that the servant[efn_note] It is possible that the servant referred to here is Eliezer, the head of Abraham’s household (Genesis 15:2). Eliezer’s name (אליעזר) means “God is Help/Ally”. Hebrew Word Pictures, Dr. Frank T. Seekins (2012)[/efn_note] of Abraham placed his hand under his master’s thigh when taking his oath. The word ‘thigh’ in Hebrew is ירך which actually indicates “the loins, the seat of procreative power”[efn_note] Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon (1996)[/efn_note], hence, the testicles[efn_note] The words testify and testicle are both derived from the Latin testis[/efn_note].
This is an important distinction as the testicles contain the seed which become the offspring. Abraham had received a promise from God of offspring, through his son Isaac. This offspring would become a holy, set apart people and possess the land in which Abraham was a sojourner (Genesis 15, Genesis 17:8, Deuteronomy 7:6-9).
By placing his hand under the testicles of Abraham, whilst swearing his oath, the servant was invoking God as his witness. The servant expressed his trust in the power and faithfulness of God to fulfil His promise to Abraham – that through providing a wife for Isaac the Covenantal Blessing would be fulfilled. Abraham’s offspring, through Isaac would possess the land. (Genesis 24:12, 26-27, 56).
A Kingdom requires a King, a people and a land. Trusting God as King for the provision of offspring and land forms the promised Kingdom.
Swearing of Oaths at the Charging Bull
Each day thousands of people visit the Charging Bull sculpture in the Financial District of New York.
The sculpture depicts a bull, which is a symbol of aggressive financial optimism and prosperity. The artist who designed it, Mr Arturo Di Modica, declared it a symbol of ‘the strength and power of the American people’[efn_note] https://www.nytimes.com/1989/12/16/nyregion/soho-gift-to-wall-st-a-3-1-2-ton-bronze-bull.html[/efn_note]. Here we see the connection between the strength and power of ‘man’ and our financial monetary system being expressed in the one symbol.
A common ritual conducted by thousands of visitors daily is to rub the testicles of the bull. It is said that doing so brings luck and wealth.
Now this may all seem like a little bit of harmless fun. However, in light of the explanation above we can now see that by rubbing, or placing one’s hand under, the testicles, one is actually swearing an oath, and identifying the Bull as witness. It is saying that one sees that the power of ‘man’, expressed through trust in our financial monetary system, provides the strength through which our destiny is fulfilled.
This is today’s version of what our ancestors did by worshipping the golden calf (Exodus 32).
The Transit of Mars Through Aquarius
21 November 2018, 10PM AEDT.
Between the 14th and the 28th of November the planet Mars transited through the loin region of the constellation of Aquarius. On the evening of 21 November Mars was positioned in the region of the testicles as the illustration to the left indicates[efn_note] Biblical days start and end at sunset as opposed to our current reckoning of midnight. The observation was made on the evening of 21 November 2018 at 10pm. It can therefore be said that according to Biblical reckoning this observation was made early on the 22nd of November.[/efn_note].
Aquarius
The constellation of Aquarius is symbolic of our Saviour Yahshua pouring out the Living Water of His Spirit (Numbers 24:7, Isaiah 44:3, Mark 14:13)[efn_note] Mark 14:13 is a prophecy for today since the earth has entered into the age of Aquarius – we look for the ‘Man with the Pitcher’ and follow Him in order to enter the room that He has prepared for us (John 14:2).[/efn_note].
Mars
The the planet Mars is red and is often associated with blood.
The name Adam in Hebrew is אדם. It is composed of two parts:
א First
דם Blood
Literally this can be translated as Red Man (from the concept of blood)[efn_note]Hebrew Word Pictures, Dr. Frank T. Seekins (2012)[/efn_note].
Mars is therefore symbolic of ‘man’. Looking through the lens of Genesis 24:9 Mars represents those that are the servants of Yahshua, those who follow Him.
As we observe the transit of Mars through the loins of Aquarius we are reminded that by swearing to perform the commands of Yahshua we can trust in the power of God to deliver His promise of prosperity (offspring, Galatians 3:26) and security (land, Genesis 17:8; Deuteronomy 28:1,11; Matthew 5:5) in order to manifest His promised Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
The transit of Mars through the loins of Aquarius indicates that we have arrived at a crossroad.
We have had 6000 years (6 days) of the ‘age of man’ and are now entering the ‘kingdom age’ (the 7th day), the question is:
Do we continue to follow the “Bull” or do we follow the “Man with the Pitcher”?
The one we follow will determine who’s kingdom we are manifesting.

The message presented in the heavens during this time also had a personal application to ourselves.
On November 22 we were summoned to appear at the Supreme Court of Tasmania in a case brought against us by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in which we need to choose between standing for the authority of God’s Word today or submitting to the ATO’s claim that God’s Law is not valid and can therefore not be relied upon.
The thoughts presented in this blog materialised during the evening of 21 November, the evening prior to our court appearance. It was therefore an encouragement to be reminded that by trusting in the power of God He will deliver on His promises.
